What you’ll Need
- Meduim size pack of miced porkmeat (not sausage meat)
-2 x Asiatique butter cubes
- Teaspoon of clear honey
- Jar of good quality sweet and sour sauce
- Salt & pepper
Method of preparation and cooking
Take the pork mince, Asiatique butter cubes, honey, good drizzle of soy sauce, salt and pepper and place into a medium size mixing bowl.
Then stir all the ingredients, until the butter has mixed the meat and ingredients together. always best if you can make the mix the night before and allow to marinate over night, or at least a couple of hours before you intend to eat.
Now take the jar of sweet & sour sauce and pour into a small pan and place onto a low to medium heat…so as to warm through.
While the sauce is warming through, take the mince and form into small rounded balls. Place them into a dry frying pan and put onto a medium heated flame.
Allow the pork balls to cook for 6 minutes on each side and then place onto kitchen towel, to blot off any excess oil.
Finally place onto a dish and either pour the sweet and sour sauce directly over the pork or in a side dish. Works well on its own, as a starter or with other Asian ingredients such as noodles bean sprouts and rice.
