What you’ll Need
- 3 x merguez sausages
- Handful of frozen mash pellets
- 1 x Meunière butter cube
- Tin of small baked beans
- A quarter teaspoon of paprika
Method of preparation and cooking
Take the merguez and either fry in a lightly oiled pan for 10 minutes, or place onto a shallow tray and cook in the oven, gas mark 200/6, for 30 minutes
Five minutes before taking the sausage out of the pan, Take your frozen mash pellets, place into a cereal bowl and add the Meuniere butter. Finally cling film, put into the microwave and cook for 3-4 minutes, then take the cling film off, stir the butter and mash together, if the potato hasn’t fully defrosted, then cook for 1-2 minutes longer
Next pour the beans into a separate cereal bowl, add the paprika, then stir and finally place on medium in a microwave for 60-90 seconds.
Lastly, place all components onto a plate and enjoy a classic British dish (sausage, mash & beans) with a North African twist to it
